Cupping

For cupping, small glasses (cups) are placed on the skin, creating a slight vacuum. This specifically stimulates reflex zones on the back that are connected to internal organs and can regulate their function. At the same time, blood circulation in the connective tissue is stimulated, and tension can be relieved.

The treatment may temporarily cause small, harmless bruises that will disappear after a few days.

Moxa

Moxa therapy is a millennia-old healing method from Chinese medicine and is traditionally used in combination with acupuncture. It uses dried mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris), whose fibers, when burned, generate targeted heat over specific acupuncture points. This pleasant warmth can stimulate the flow of energy along the meridians and thus contribute to the relief of various ailments.

In my practice I work with two proven methods:
– Self-adhesive moxa cones that are placed directly on the skin and slowly unfold their beneficial effect.
– Moxa cigars held over acupuncture points or gently moved along the energy channels.
